Miss You!

Hello Everyone,

Things are going great! The adoption process is moving along. Each family is required to have an interview. We will be having our interview with Bienestar Familiar, the Colombian government agency that oversees all adoptions in Colombia, on this Friday at 9:30am. After the Bienestar interview we will be assigned to a court. We have been told that there are good courts and bad courts. We heard a bad court could take 8 weeks to process the paperwork. The bad courts often don't come to work every week so it takes longer to process the paperwork. The good courts, on the other hand, move much faster and could take as little as two weeks to process the paperwork. I guess it is the luck of the draw. Pray for a GOOD court. Sometime after the interview with Bienestar is complete, we will have a special tour of FANA with Flor! We are not sure when this tour is right now but we will be sure to post as soon as we know. The buildings where FANA is now located is not where Alissa and her brothers were adopted from. FANA worked out of a church during the first 10 years. The new FANA building was built after much fundraising in the US with families in Minnesota, New York, and Washington DC. We only saw a part of the building when we went to get Benjamin. We are very excited to have the special tour of FANA.
