We have arrived!

Alissa and Matt have arrived in Bogota. The air is crisp with temperatures in the 50s. The city of 8 million people is busy with many making their way to work. The flight went by fast. The car ride through Bogota from the airport had us on the edge of our seats. Bogota is large; however dwarfed in comparison to the Andes Mountains which shadow the area. We are now at our hotel called El Rufigio. The owner, Carmen, is wonderful! Her daughter and son picked us up at the airport and brought us to our new home for the next 6 weeks. They are a sweet family! They prepared a nice breakfast for us including true Colombian coffee. It was a wonderful welcome into this country.

We are now preparing ourselves to travel to FANA and meet Benjamin. We will receive him in a few hours. This whole experience is amazing. Tonight will be the first night together as a family. We will take pictures and update our blog as soon as we can. Benjamin will take priority of our time. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. They are working!
